The NorthStar® Asphalt Sealcoating Skid Sprayer applies sealcoat material to driveways and parking lots, adding a layer of protection from water (by sealing cracks), UV rays, oxidation and chemical spills (oil, gasoline, etc.), all while improving surface appearance. Includes 3500-lb. capacity trailer package.

    1. This asphalt sealcoating skid sprayer is only compatible with water-based sealcoat. Northern Tool doesn't sell sealer/sealcoat or have a recommended sealer supplier.

  3. Can you shut off spraying wand without opening agitating valve for a few minutes without any damage?

    1. If the wand is shut off without opening the agitating valve or shutting off the engine, it should be very briefly. Running the pump without relief will shorten the life of the pump and lead to failure.

  4. During the cleaning process, how do you get rid of discarded matierals?

    1. To clean the asphalt sprayer after each use, follow the instructions on page 30 of the manual, steps 1-8. It would need to be put into a container and disposed of per the recommendation of the sealcoat manufacturer or following you local codes and ordinances for disposal of chemicals.

  8. Is there anyway to agitate the sealant in the trailer? Is it bad to leave the sealant stagnant in the trailer for long periods of time?

    1. This NorthStar asphalt seal coating skid sprayer mixes by recirculating the seal coating, it does not have an agitator. The sprayer should be emptied and cleaned after each use. The sealant would not keep inside the sprayer for any period of time.

    1. With the tank full it would weigh approximately 3,160 pounds. This could vary depending on the type of sealer you are using.

It does not include a Certificate of Origin and does not require licensing. It does include DOT approved lighting. If unsure of your local codes regarding this type of trailer, please consult your county or state guidelines.
