  1. Can hitch convert to ball?

    I want to hitch this cart to my pickup instead of to an ATV. Can the pin connection be converted to a ball hitch?

    1. Northern Tool does not carry an adapter allowing you to convert the pin-style hitch to a 2" ball. For a towable cart with a similar capacity that would work with a ball hitch please see the items below.

  4. How are the wheels fastened to the cart?

    I've tried a few carts but always seem to strip the bearings out in a week. Typical loads have been 300-400 lb, 1/4 of the rated capacity. Are the wheels bolted on or is there a carter pin in them. Additionally what is the spacing on the bearings. Most carts I've seen the bearings are spaced roughly 1/2". They need to be like a wheel burro where their spaced 3" or so to handle the torque of turning.

    1. The wheels are fastened to the cart using lock nuts, not cotter pins. The manufacturer does not have exact bearing spacing, but it will be about 3" from the outside of one bearing to the outside of the other.

  5. What are the crated dimensions of this cart?

    I would like to pick up this item from a store. But, I want to make sure if it will fit in my vehicle.

  6. Could you tell me the tub dimensions? How deep is the tub? Could you also tell me what the tub is made of is it metal or poly?

    1. This Northern Tool and Equipment Poly Dump Cart has a poly tub and the dimensions are 28 inches wide by 36.5 inches long at the bottom of tub, the top of tub is 46.5 inches long. The height of this tub is 12 inches.

    where do I purchase these for my cart?

    1. We do not sell the side panels for the Northern Tool & Equipment Poly Dump Cart. The Manual states you can put railings on it, slots are 2" L x 3/4" W x 2 1/2" D and are 13" apart center to center.
