  1. What kind of coolant does it need?

    1. A water-soluble coolant is required for use with this band saw. Black cutting oil cannot be used as a substitute coolant. Northern Tool doesn't carry coolant for use with this band saw.

  3. What is the cutting capacity at 45 deg?

    Does the saw swivel to cut angles or does the vice turn so that you can angle cut right or left?

    1. When cutting at 45 degrees, the Northern Industrial Band Saw would cut a maximum of 105 mm in diameter and 100 x 140 mm by rectangle. The saw cuts the angle by turning the vise to the left side up
      to 45 degrees.

  5. Can I get this in a 230V? Is the blade speed infinitely variable? Is the cutting angle infinitely variable between 45 and 90 degrees?

    Is the hydraulic lowering arm speed adjustable or automatic or manual or...?

    1. 1. The motor can be wired to 230V.
      2. It has 4 speeds by manual to change the motor step pulley. (78/118/160/232 FPM)
      3.The cutting angle is from 0~45 degree by vise swiveling.
      4.The saw arm lowering is by a hydraulic cylinder and you can adjust the hydraulic valve manually to have fast or slow moving.
