  1. Are inside and outside units both variable capacity?

    1. Both units would be selectable by using the dip switches inside the units.

    2. Yes both units are selectable 4 or 5 ton ( 4 ton 18 seer 5 ton 17 seer) using dip switches inside both units. I have installed this system. Be careful to make sure you program the thermostat properly to operate this system correctly.

  2. Is this a DIY possibility with charged lines ?

    1. This is definitely a DIY with the proper no-vac lineset that MrCool offers. The unit comes precharged. I installed a MrCool DIY mini-split with pre-charged lineset 3+ years ago for a friend and the unit still operates great.

  3. does this heat pump use dc inverter technology and what is the range from lowest btu to top btu. and is there a dual fuel option (gas- heat pump

    1. This uses DC inverter drives. There is not a BTU range for this product. The optimal temperatures for use is from -22 to 115 degress F. We currenty do not offer a dual fuel option.

    1. This system will dehumidify in AC mode but not in heat mode.

  5. can I get this in down draft

    1. This unit is not downflow compatible for normal installations. If the ductwork goes in to a crawl space of the home this can be installed horizontally below the floor to work with a downflow system.
