    Does this heater use regulated LP gas or unregulated LP gas? Does it come with the regulator?

    Does it have multiple settings? The 29 hours/ 100# bottle is that based on 200,000BTU setting or lower setting?

    1. It has an adjustable range from 75K to 200K

    2. This convection heater will consume approximately 3.5 lbs of propane per hour on the lowest setting to 9.3 lbs of propane per hour on the highest setting. Fuel consumption on the low setting for this unit is approximately 29 hrs per 100 lb propane tank. This heater has 2 settings, low and high.

  3. can this be hooked directly to my 1000 lb tank

    I wish to use this to heat my basement

    1. I woul not use this for a basement heater for two specific reasons.
      1. I needs to be used in a well ventilated area.
      2. The majority of the heat rises and therefore would most probably set your ceiling on fire!

    2. This Mr. Heater Propane Convection Heater could be connected to a 1000 lb tank with the proper regulator. However it should not be used for heating any human heating quarters.

    Does heater require a 100 lbs tank or will it run on a 30 lbs tank Mine turns it self off onnn a 30 lbs tank even though the tank is close to fill

  5. does the 200,000 btu heater require to be vented or can it be used "free standing" in a 1800 sq ft shop?

    1. You should be OK as long as your shop has a little airflow. I'd crack a window just to be safe.

    2. This heater does not need any venting and can operate in a free standing position. However, it does produce small amounts of carbon monoxide which can be toxic to humans and animals. The user must crack a window or door to allow fresh air for breathing and familiarize themselves with the signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.

  6. can a smaller propane tank be used?

    1. No! Anything smaller than a 100# LP tank will not create enough vaporization as this heater does not use a regulator.

    2. The 200,000 BTU Mr. Heater Propane Convection Heater must have a minimum of a 100 lb propane tank. Mr. Heater does make a smaller convection heater that will work with a 20 lb propane tank. See link below.

  9. could this heater be used to heat a 10 x 12 greenhouse? could it be set up to start and stop from a thermostat during the night?

    1. This heater can be used to heat a greenhouse with proper clearance from combustibles, however it cannot be controlled by an external thermostat.
