  1. Is this unit able to use my natural gas from gas line in house?

    1. This heater would use Propane from a tank. Item number 173671 would work with natural gas.

    2. Yes, this unit is able to be converted to natural gas, but to do so you would need to purchase a conversion kit. We offer this same heater, but it is already set up to operate on natural gas, the part number for this heater is F180624.

  3. Where is the thermostat located? If it is on the heater can a remote one be added?

    1. The thermostat is included with the heater. Should be mounted eye level on the opposite wall from the heater. Standard 2 wire doorbell wire works well.

    2. The thermostat that is included for this heater is external, you would mount the thermostat on the wall and would be wired to the gas valve.

    1. The heater does not require a vent kit as it is designed to be used in large well ventilated areas.

  5. Why does it require a 100lb cylinder. We have LP already piped to the location.

    1. If your gas company is providing your LP service, a tank is not needed as long as the pressure is properly regulated. This heater requires 11" - 14" W.C. supply pressure.
