We have only had it for a couple weeks, but we have not had that problem...and we drive in a pasture (tall grass) and wide open (as fast as an electric golf cart will go) on the road...So far so good...it has not shut off

How sensitive is the Tip-over safety switch
I have tried similar heaters in my golf carts before and any little bump I would hit, it would shut off.

The heater does have a tip over switch that activates at 90 degrees. It is designed to be used in a golf cart. A large bump could cause the heater to shut off, but would not be affected by a small bump or in just driving the cart.

Can this be connected to a 5lb tank?
I'd like something smaller than the Buddy heater to use in my van on the random extreme cold nights but I don't want to use the small 1lb canisters. Can this heater be connected to a larger 5 lb tank via fiter/regulator/hose like the Buddy heaters can be?

my unit is two years old ,where do you get replacement parts. it will not start the heater.I think it's the theme coupler.

What is the length one propane fill will last and how do you get refilled.

The heater will run approximately 5 1/2 hours on a 1 pound propane cylinder. You can purchase a propane refill adapter, item #44867 to refill the 1 pound cylinders from a 20 pound cylinder.
