This Moose Knuckle XL Shackle is a patented "man shaped" tow shackle that has a 10,000 lb work load limit and is designed to make your next tow easier. The unique "B-ring" shape prevents your snatch or recovery rope from over tightening. A divider on the inside of the tow shackle prevents a slip knot from sliding together, making removal easier. This divider also helps to keep adequate space when two hooks, chains or master links are attached. A gap on the bottom outside allows for insertion of a screw driver or pry bar in the event that a slip knot or rope does get tightened into a stuck position. Knots or ropes can easily be pried loose instead of having to be beat out with a hammer. Moose Knuckles are also a great alternative solution to the widely prohibited truck nuts, and provide a functional yet legal alternative to hanging plastic balls from the hitch receiver of your vehicle. All color options are fully covered with a durable coated pantone color that is matched to popular truck and Jeep colors. The Mohawk 2.0 shackle receiver is warm forged using 6061-T6 aluminum with the grain flow orientated to maximize the strength of your connection point, providing a work load limit of 10,000 lbs. Two hitch pin holes allow for two receiver mounting positions, increasing compatibility with any 2in. hitch package. The third hitch pin hole and included spacer allow you to rotate the receiver 90 degrees so you can mount a hitch ball with a 3/4in. shank. Most shackle receivers have sharp edges at the connection point, which often tear soft shackles, synthetic ropes, tree savers and strap looped ends. The Mohawk 2.0 main mounting hole has a very large radius on the outer edges to reduce abrasion and increase the life of your recovery gear, making this ideal for use with any closed loop recovery set up. The spined outer perimeter adds more material where you need it most and gives the Mohawk its aggressive and unique identity. Available in a variety of colors.
