Product Summary

Introducing the "patent pending" JOWL recovery split shackle. This innovative split "J" recovery shackle design eliminates the need for tools or soft shackles while making rope and strap connections faster, eliminating the need to remove your shackles from your bumper or hitch receiver to make a connection, or hook up a rope or strap out on the trail. Fast tool-less closed loop recovery is made easy, changing everything! Just open up the Jowl shackle hooked sides, insert your recovery rope or tow strap looped end, rotate the end of the tow rope or strap to engage both sides of the shackle, pull tight and you are ready to recover your stuck vehicle. The Jowl Recovery Shackle fits any 2.0in. or 2.5in. D-ring tow shackle receiver hitch bracket mount with a 7/8in. (0.875in.) pin hole. Built in rubber anti-chatter pads stop the hooked sides from rattling against each other as you navigate the roughest trails. Each shackle includes four durable nylon shackle isolators. The Mohawk 2.0 shackle receiver is warm forged using 6061-T6 aluminum with the grain flow orientated to maximize the strength of your connection point, providing a work load limit of 10,000 lbs. Two hitch pin holes allow for two receiver mounting positions, increasing compatibility with any 2in. hitch package. The third hitch pin hole and included spacer allow you to rotate the receiver 90 degrees so you can mount a hitch ball with a 3/4in. shank. Most shackle receivers have sharp edges at the connection point which often tear soft shackles, synthetic ropes, tree savers and strap looped ends. The Mohawk 2.0 main mounting hole has a very large radius on the outer edges to reduce abrasion.
