  2. Why would a sawzall/reciprocating saw need to be orbital? I think it would be harder to keep control of for straighter cuts.

    1. The sawzall would have a button to change it to orbit. This mode would be used for plunge cutting directly into a surface that cannot be cut from an edge, such as walls or floors. See page 10 of the product manual listed on our web below the product summary.
