    1. The Oscillating Multi-Tool is the tool only. It will require an 18 volt Milwaukee battery, see our item 62597 for a battery and charger that can be used with this tool. You would use the tool with the included accessories, the wood cutting blade and the sanding pad with the assorted sanding sheets. depending on the job you need to do.

  8. Can the multitool cut through screws and nails with the appropriate blade? Can it handle hidden nails in wood? Which blades are appropriate?

    1. The blade that comes with this tool is designed for cutting wood only. The blade could get ruined if it hits a hidden nail. If the appropriate blade is used, this oscillating tool can cut through nails. The blade is not sold separately, but it is part of the blade kit model 48-90-1009. At this time, this kit is not offered by Northern Tool.

  10. how do you change the blade

    1. To change the blade, make sure the battery pack is removed first. Then, lift the quick release lever and push it firmly forward over the detent. Next, place the tool upside down and unscrew the accessory bolt. Remove the blade or other accessory and make sure everything is clean. Then, place the blade and bolt onto the tool and hand tighten it. Finally, press the quick release lever back into place.
