  1. can this product be used without the pilot bit?

    1. It might work if you have a bolt or something to hold it in place, but you had better know what you are doing and be ready to have a sore wrist at best!!! You do know what the pilot bits pupose is don;t you??? It is used to hold the hole saw in place. If you have ever got slightly and I do mean slightly out of plumb and got a knot snatched in your,.... Well you might know what Im talkng about you would understand. Of course if you had it in a drill press and you project well anhcored maybe

  2. COMPATABLE WITH ALUMINUM AND FIBERGLASS?

    1. I have not tried it on aluminum or fiberglass but it says that it will work no multiple materials and shows wood, metal, stainless steel, iron, and plastic.

    1. This Milwaukee all-purpose hole dozer saw kit is designed for use on mild steel, wood, pvc and stainless steel. They have an 8% cobalt tip so they would go through the steel door. However, steel residential doors typically have a hardened coating so the hole saws may wear out quickly compared to being used on a mild steel.
