  2. How do you operate the hoist ?I have to lower a unit that is suspended by the hoist

    1. The chain hoist is operated by pulling on the lever to engage the ratchet and pawl mechanism that moves the chain. The lever action rotates a cog, which rotates the derive shaft and load chain sprocket. This would lift or lower the load.
