I would say the answer to your question is no. The seat bottom would be anchored by the four bolts. The seat back does adjust fore-and-aft a bit using the adjustment knob on the side, but I'm not sure it would move enough for your purposes.

Seat overall dimensions
What is the dimension of the seat from outside of armrest to outside of armrest and can you remove the armrests?
-
Br549137· 7 years ago
I will put it to you this way, I am 300lbs of romping stomping country boy with a 44inch waste and I have no problem placing my wide beam between the hand rest and sitting comfortably on the cushion seat for 3 hours mowing. This seat is ten times more comfortable and wider than the economy class seat on major airline and I have flown on all of them. If your beam want fit a standard office chair it want fit this seat either.

The manufacturer of this seat does not list makes and model numbers which it will fit. The seat measurements are 18 1/2 W x 22 1/2 D x 23 1/2 H. The bolt pattern is 11in.L x 11 1/2in.W. You would need to measure to see if this seat will work for the make and model of your garden tractor.

are the arms on the Michigan Seat Highback Suspension Seat — Black, Model# V-5300 easy to take off and put back on?
We have a christmas tree farm where the space between the trees in some areas is very close and the pines tear up the arms on our mower seat. Are these arms easy enough to take off that we could easily remove them before we mow our tree farm and put them back on when mowing the rest of our farm that doesn't have pines on it?
-
Mes1282· 11 years ago
Yes they would come off however they also swing up which is how I prefer to have mine all the time

On the bottom of the mounting plate there are 4 bolts with grey covers. What are these for?
The description indicates that mounting hardware is not included. Also, where are the holes for the mounting bolts? Thanks.
-
BVW1· 12 years ago
The grey things are protective caps to prevent damage to the mounting bolt threads during shipping. You can easily remove them from the mounting bolts.

ProductExpert43· 12 years ago
The grey covers are protective feet that are screwed into the mounting holes. The holes for mounting are on the bottom of the seat. The mounting pattern is 11 1/2" wide (side to side) and 11" long (front to back.)
