Will this valve work to select between two double acting cylinders?
1 answer-
ProductExpert23· 2 years ago
Yes, the Metro Machine Selector Valve (Model 2071) is designed to work with two double-acting cylinders. It is a 6-port double selector valve that diverts hydraulic fluid to two separate circuits, allowing you to operate two double-acting cylinders with one valve.

Which ports are P and T?
1 answer-
ProductExpert12· 5 years ago
The top two ports pictured are the pump and tank ports. They are interchangeable based on user preference. In most cases a directional control valve will be used before this selector valve so these ports will change based on the flow condition of the directional control valve to extend or retract a cylinder.

Can the valve be used with coolant?
I want to use this with coolant instead of hydraulic oil. The coolant will have a rust inhibitor. Is there any reason that the valve might leak/etc?
1 answer-
ProductExpert6· 6 years ago
The valve has not been tested for use with coolant. The seals are made for use with oil.
