  1. does this check valve have a spring? would i be able to use this valve on the suction side of a pump?

    1. I highly recommend that you stay clear of the check valve in your suction line, if you are using a hydraulic pump. I did not see a cracking pressure for this check valve, but chances are high that it is around 5psi (5psi is pretty common) which means it will create a vacuum of ~10inHg. If your pump is a hydraulic pump, this is a disaster waiting to happen. You always want to keep pump inlet vacuum to a bare minimum, because if the vacuum gets too high you will cavitate your pump and that is a sure death sentence for it. If you need a check valve to keep an oil column in your suction line, you are probably dangerously close to cavitating the pump already.

    2. The check valve does have an internal spring. They can be mounted in any position and will allow free flow in one direction and checked flow in the opposite direction.

    1. Two check valves are needed for a double acting cylinder if you are needing the cylinder to hold in either direction or for speed control.

    1. This model can be used for hydraulic applications. It is not rated for use with gasoline.

    using these on an air ride system and need 1/2 npt female to 1/2 npt male..looks like it is in the picture so Im just checking....

    1. This Metro Machine Check Valve will allow a direction of flow from the 1/2" npt male port out to the 1/2" npt female port. This valve is not offer in a reverse flow, female port to male port.
