  1. If the ladder is fully extended and only supported on the edges(assume contact area of about 3 inces x the width of ladder) what is the maximum load capacity. Or in what situation can the ladder hold 250 lbs(where do the supports need to be)?

    1. Even with two 3" x 12" end-stop contacts, the plank's bearing stress (about 3.5 psi at 250 lb) and bending capacity (around 3,400 lb) exceed the 250 lb rating. To ensure safety, fully engage both end-stop hooks, set the ladder at the correct angle with secure feet, and distribute your weight evenly.
