  1. do you hit the head of the punch with a big hammer to punch thru the metal? how will it do with blue steel sheets? as in 0.030 thousandths shim material.

    1. This punch and die set is designed to specifically attach to the Metalpro Ironworker machines. They are not for manual use. They would not work on the thin shim material.

    1. This punch and die set is designed for use with the Metal Pro Ironworker MP 4000, Item 971662, and the Metal Pro Ironworker 4500, Item 971640 shown below. They are not designed for use with other presses.

    1. The METALpro 8-Pc. Round Punch & Die Set would require a 1" collet for the 1" shaft on the punches and would be 2" on the dies. This set is proprietary and designed for use only with the METALpro Ironworker.
