  1. How much of this product is needed to clean the oxidation off a 21 foot fiberglass boat

    1. This can vary based on several variables. The manufacturer does state in most cases, it will allow you to clean a 21' boat several times.

    1. Outboard motors on marine vessels are typically painted surfaces rather than gel coat. For that reason, an automotive paint correction product such as Ultimate Compound would be the recommended choice. M67 One Step Compound is specifically designed for use on gel coat and fiberglass surfaces and would not be our primary recommendation for a painted outboard motor.

      Regarding the oxidation on your outboard motor, the appropriate solution will depend on the severity of the oxidation. Light to moderate oxidation can often be corrected with a product like Ultimate Compound. However, if the oxidation is severe and has significantly deteriorated the paint surface, polishing alone may not restore the finish, and repainting may be necessary.

      It is recommend to start with the least aggressive approach by testing Ultimate Compound on a small area to evaluate the results before considering more extensive refinishing options.

  5. Do you need a buffer for this product? Or Does it add anything by using a buffer?

    1. It can be used by hand, but a good Dual Action or Rotary buffer is going to be more effective at remove oxidation and other defects.

    1. Assuming you are referring to a coated or painted surface, yes. If you are referring to bare metal you really should be looking for a good metal polish.
