No Pumping Needed

The Master Gardener Rechargeable Cart Sprayer takes all of the hard work out of spraying. The 1 GPM Everflo 12V pump and rechargeable battery mean that you'll never have to hand-pump, or even connect the sprayer to a tractor or ATV battery. The battery gives you on-demand power and can spray up to 2 hours on a single charge.

Push, Pull, Tow

Use the adjustable handle to push or pull the sprayer. It's even easy to tow with a lawn tractor or ATV, thanks to the included hitch bar. The 12in. heavy-duty wheels roll well over varied terrain. When you're done working, the handle adjusts for easy storage.

Spot and Broadcast Spraying

With the included spray gun, you can spot-spray fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides exactly where you want them. When you really need to cover some ground, switching from spot-spraying to broadcast spraying is easy, thanks to the rear-mounted nozzle. You can spray up to a 50in. swath in broadcast mode. The nine-gallon chemical-resistant polyethylene tank can safely hold a wide variety of sprayable materials.

  2. Does the pump on this unit turn itself off at a certain psi?

    Are additional batteries available for purchase?

    1. Yes, the pump turns itself off automatically when the unit has reached optimal pressure.

      The battery is quite small in size and I would order directly from the manufacturer if a replacement is needed.

    2. yes it is an on demand pump. There is an on/off switch because of the 12 volt battery. I dont see a replacement battery on the website but it does have a breakdown in the manual with the battery so I am guessing the manufacturer (master manufacturing) has replacements.

    4. The pump on this Cart Sprayer turns off automatically at 40 psi. The battery is rechargeable but additional batteries can be purchased and are a generic 12 volt battery, usually available at a local hardware store.

  3. What are the dimensions of the battery?

    There are multiple sizes of motorcycle batteries. What are the dimensions? Can you a battery externally with cables and use a deep discharge battery?

    1. There is not much room inside the panel to add a larger battery. It comes with a 4.5 AH battery. What I do is add an additional 10 AH AGM deep discharge battery that fits neatly underneath using nylon cable ties. You'll then need to get a larger charger if you use it daily.

The battery that comes with the unit is good to spray about 1.5 tankful's then dies out so I hardwired a connection from my lawn tractor's battery with a disconnect to the sprayer's battery terminals so I could refill the tank multiple times without recharging. I usually just use the built in battery and hook into my tractor's battery only when doing a lot of continuous spraying.

    3. The battery dimensions are 5" long, 4" wide and 5" high. You can use a deep discharge battery externally with cables to power this unit.

  4. Is this hard to push in a vegetable garden where the ground will be tilled with a tiller.

    1. I have only used mine once. Yes I used it in my gardens. After measuring and carefully calculating, I determined that I needed just over 6 gallons. My test run in the yard it pulled relatively easy. I knew it would pull harder in tilled ground, but was somewhat surprised as it didn't pull as hard as I thought. At least till I started through the patch with a lot of clods. I have 3 patches of sweet corn and was glad that I started with the 2 patches that tilled up fairly nice as when I got to the patch with the clods, it pulled even harder than I expected. I wish it had bigger wheels as this would help when using it in a garden. To summarize my confusing answer : In finely tilled soil it does OK. In clod ground, you either need some muscle or a mechanical means to pull it

    2. Because of the weight of the tank when loaded and the tilled ground being fairly soft I would have to say it would be a bit of a struggle to move this with ease in that situation!

  6. I am interested in the sprayer for watering/feeding my garden in areas that my garden hose doesn't reach. Is it suitable for this type of use?

    1. Yes, as long as it isn't a huge area. A garden hose puts out a lot more water quicker but the sprayer is very convenient for out of the way places and hanging plants.

    1. The sprayer comes with the 120" clear hose that is shown wrapped around the handle.

    1. Yes, but every 2 gallons till 8

  9. Is there a minimum fill amount for the sprayer to work properly?

    I need a roll around battery operated sprayer to replace my currently used 2-gl pump up sprayers. Since I'll only need from 1 to 4 gls at a time, is there a minimum fill amount in order for this sprayer to work properly?

    1. I have only used my once to spray my sweet corn. After some careful calibrations trying to maintain a constant pull speed by hand, then some tricky calculations breaking qts / acre down to ounces / specific # of sq feet, I determined that I needed just over 6 gallons of spray. I mixed 6.5 gallons to allow for some left in the tank. It worked great as it didn't start sputtering till the very end. The tank had just under 1/2 gallon left in it. I hope my experience helps you.

    2. The manufacturer does not specify a minimum for the amount of water needed to make this sprayer work. The sprayer will work as long as the solution you are spraying can reach the pump.

    1. Sure you can it has enough pressure I extend mine
