The 18V LXT® Compact One-Handed Recipro Saw (XRJ08Z) is a versatile cutting solution that combines variable speed and low vibration with the convenience of one-handed operation for faster and more efficient cutting. The XRJ08 delivers 0 - 3,100 strokes per minute combined with a 7/8” stroke length for up to 55% faster cutting*. It offers a low-vibration design that reduces operator fatigue with up to 40% less vibration (when compared to model number XRJ07ZXB). The loop-shaped handle offers rigidity for improved cutting efficiency. It can perform Up to 90 cuts in 2x10 lumber, and up to 50 cuts in 1in. schedule 80 steel pipe with a 5.0Ah battery installed (battery and charger sold separately). The One-Handed Recipro Saw is engineered with a low-vibration design that features up to 40% less vibration**. The XRJ08 is equipped with a counterweight mechanism that contributes to lower vibration levels when cutting. Low vibration levels contribute to longer tool use time for the user. Convenience features include a compact and ergonomic design of only 14-3/8” long making it ideal for working in tight spaces and overhead applications. To aid in reducing operator fatigue, the One-Handed Recipro Saw weighs only 5.5 lbs. (with battery, sold separately). It features a tool-less blade changing system to minimize downtime between blade changes. It has a built-in L.E.D. light that illuminates the workspace and a rubberized soft grip for increased comfort. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™.
