  1. What’s the difference between 2.0 compared to5.0. Will either work on any of the tools

    1. The 2.0Ah and 5.0Ah batteries both provide 18V power and are compatible with many Makita 18V LXT tools. However, the 2.0Ah BL1820B battery is only suitable for Makita 18V tools that feature the Star Symbol™ and/or a yellow battery receiver. Generally, the 5.0Ah battery offers longer runtime, while the 2.0Ah battery is lighter and charges more quickly.
