Higher resolution (3840 × 2160 — that's 4X the amount of pixels of 1080p) will make sure your security videos are richer with detail than ever before. It will also allow you to digitally zoom in tight on details without drastically reducing the video clarity. With this security camera, you get 2 additional ways to scare off would-be intruders. This system includes super-bright LEDs that can be customized to be on always, manually activated or triggered by motion. You can also choose a strobe light setting. And there is a remote-triggered siren designed to stop trespassers right in their tracks. SmartZone™ Advanced Detection allows you to configure the grid to alert you when you have visitors at your door, cars in your driveway, or when the kids come home from school. Motion alerts are sent right to your smartphone or tablet, so you can log in and check out the action. H.264+ video compression reduces data bandwidth requirements for efficient data storage and reduced network load for easy remote connectivity. HDMI output (HDMI cable included) allows simple connection to HD TVs or monitors. Connect your smartphone or tablet to Lorex Cloud™ to make your entire surveillance system accessible from virtually anywhere in the world. The Lorex Cloud app with 3-step setup connects all your cameras and systems from any iOS or Android device to trigger push notifications and email alerts. Dual streaming conserves bandwidth. This system is also backward compatible with standard analog cameras. Other great features include accurate time stamps with NTP and daylight savings time; click-and-drag digital zoom in live view and playback; 2 video outputs (HDMI and VGA) to connect multiple monitors; and instant USB backup of live video from selected camera. Automatic firmware upgrade over the internet ensures your system is up to date. The hard drive can be manually expanded to to 8 TB should you need more space.
