This Lincoln mig welding wire is not flux core. Northern does carry Lincoln flux core wire. See below.

This welder wire is solid MIG wire that must be used with a shielding gas. It cannot be used on a flux-core welder; only on a wire-feed welder.

This Lincoln Electric SuperArc L-56 MIG Welding Wire will work with the Hobart 190 welder. You will need to use the 8 inch spool adapter and retaining ring that was included with the welder.
