    1. The helmet will have a solar cell. No battery is required.

    1. All auto darkening welding helmets would require a battery for it to work.

    1. This helmet can be used with a magnifying cheater lens. These are available through the manufacturer.

  4. Isn't this a passive helmet? Can you please point out the arc sensors? I can't see them...

    1. A passive helmet is one that does not have an auto darkening response. Passive welding helmets have a fixed shade lens. Auto darkening welding helmets will have sensors that will automatically darken the lens when the welding arc is detected.

  5. If this is a "Fixed Shade Passive Welding" helmet (i.e., not auto-darkening), how can it have a 1/25,000 sec. switch time?
