  1. What is the generators total harmonic distortion (THD) and does it provide clean power suitable for sensitive electronics?

    1. Sensitive electronics need less than 5% THD, I would not recommend this generator for electronics. These are great for hand tools and welding, very dependable. I have one and it is a daily tool.

  2. Available with a spoolgun!

    In the catalog we are looking at it says that item#164593-1554 is Available with a Spoolgun. I do not see it listed. Can you confirm what comes with this item.

    1. For this Lincoln Electric Eagle 10,000 Plus DC Arc Welder/AC Generator to be compatible with a spool gun you would first need to add a Lincoln MIG 140 or 180 welder. I have listed 2 welder options below that are compatible with this unit that would allow for the spool gun option.

  3. Can you weld aluminum tig with this machine? Is it ln25 compatible

    1. To TIG weld with this machine a TIG module, model K930-2 is required. TIG welding aluminum is best done with AC TIG. This unit is not capable of AC TIG welding. The LN-25 will not run off this unit.

    1. This welder/generator does come with leads. It includes (1) 20 ft. (6.0 m) of #2 electrode cable, (1) electrode holder, (1) 15 ft. (4.5 m) of #2 work cable and a work clamp.

  6. Engine Oil included?

    1. The Eagle 10,000 Plus is shipped with the engine crankcase filled with SAE 10W-30 oil. Check the oil level before starting the engine. If it is not up to the full mark on the dip stick, add oil as required.

  10. What optional equipment is needed for MIG and TIG

    1. To make this unit weld MIG and TIG you will need to purchase a wire feed welder, a TIG Torch and you will need shielding gas as well. At Northern we do sell a wire feed welder that is capable of both MIG and TIG functions that I will list below. With this welder you will also need to purchase a TIG torch for TIG applications from the manufacturer directly. I will also list a shielding gas tank below that is required for most TIG applications and some MIG applications. The gas itself would need to be purchased locally.
