  1. how can you see how much grease there is left in the tube,

    The Lincoln Clear tube kit No. Item# 403951 how can you see how much grease there is left in the tube, when the actual tube it self is NOT transparent, like for example the Mobil XHP 222 that it comes in a tube, so, how can you see inside that carboard type tube, to see how much material there is left inside

    1. THE CLEAR TUBE IS SO THAT YOU CAN SEE WHAT TYPE OF GREASE IS IN YOUR GUN, OR YOU CAN NOT USE A CARTRIGE AND BULK LOAD FROM THE TOP, IN THAT CASE YOU WILL SEE THE GREASE

    2. you can always tell how much is left by pulling the t-handle back and when it stops that is how much you have left when using a cartridge. Wow you guys really dont know how to check I guess you have to be a OG greaser like me lol.

    3. This clear tube kit can be used with both bulk grease or 14 oz. grease cartridges. When used for bulk grease, you'll be able to see how much grease is left. When used with standard grease cartridges, you'll only be able to see what type of grease is used via the label on it. This insures you're using the correct type for your application. You'll be unable to tell what quantity is left when using the standard cartridges.

  2. How can I see the grease in the tube if the grease is in the cartridge?

    It does not matter whether the tube is clear, since the grease is inside the cartridge and what you see is the cratridge, not the grease.

    1. THE MAIN POINT OF THE CLEAR TUBE IS FOR WHEN IT IS USED WITHOUT A CARTRIGE AND YOU BULK LOAD IT FROM THE TOP, THEREFORE YOU CAN SEE HOW MUCH IS IN THE TUBE, OR IF BEING USED WITH THE CARTRIGE, YOU WILL SEE WHICH TYPE OF GREASE IS IN THAT GUN

    2. The Lincoln Clear Tube Kit will only show the amount of grease left when using bulk grease. The amount left in a cartridge will not be seen.

    1. The plunger rod and spring are not included with the tube kit. These components will come from the old grease gun.

  4. What is the outside diamiter of the treaded part

    1. It is the same as the size as the standard metal tubes of 2" diameter.
