What size pully is recommended for this motor? The motor keeps tripping the thermal overload. Thought maybe the 4 inch is to big?
1 answer-
ProductExpert5· 4 years ago
The motor can be outfitted with any number of pulley sizes. The pulley diameter would not necessarily have an effect on the load.

3 wire , black , white , green , to motor ? or 220 , 4 wire to motor ?
1 answer-
ProductExpert11· 4 years ago
There are four terminals inside the cover and they are marked as such Line 1, Line 4, 3 and 2. For counter clockwise rotation it's ready to go just hook hot wires to Line 1 and Line 4. For clockwise rotation you will need to switch the wire with red tape on it from terminal 2 to terminal Line 4 and the wire with
black tape on it from terminal Line 4 to terminal 2 and then hook hot wires to Line 1 and Line 4.Helpful?

What is the difference between an aircompressor motor and a motor to be used on a piece of equipment, namely a table saw?
I now have a 2 HP motor , 3450 RPM 115/220 single phase, 56H frame, thermally protected, manual10.2 amps @230
1 answer-
ProductExpert5· 11 years ago
An air compressor motor has a drip-proof housing to prevent corrosion and takes higher torque for heavy start up loads. A woodworking motor has a totally enclosed frame to prevent dust and shavings from damaging the internal workings and also designed for continuous running.
