This La Crosse Pro Wireless Weather Station allows you to monitor the weather around your home via smartphone, tablet or computer with email/text alerts. This stand-alone, comprehensive station provides a full record of the weather: indoor/outdoor temperature in fahrenheit or celsius; indoor/outdoor humidity; 12/24-hour time; month, date, year; air pressure along with 12/72-hour air pressure history; rainfall for the last hour, 24 hours, week, and month; total wind speed, direction, gust and windchill; dew point minimum/maximum; and high/low alarm for all values. The display can store 1795 sets of data (with recording intervals of 1 minute to 30 minutes.) The Swiss solar wind sensor transmits data every 30 seconds. Transmitter range for each sensor (temp/humidity, rain, and wind) is 200ft.

    What is the max distance between sensors and main station?

    1. I have two systems and one is 125 feet away & the other is 50 feet. It’s best to keep everything as close as possible. I believe the manual says a little more than 200 ft.

    3. 200 feet is the maximum distance from wind and rain sensors to the temperature sensor receiver/transmitter, then 200 feet to the display panel. these are unobstructed, "line of sight" distances.

      i'm at about 50-60 feet without problems never tried to see how far away I could get.

    Is the time set by radio signal, or is it just a manual set?

    1. If you link it to your home internet router it will set automatically otherwise you must set it manually.

    2. This unit comes complete with an outdoor sensor that will determine wind speed. It also comes with the rain collector, which will track and store data on the accumulative amount of rain.

  4. What are the dimensions of the display unit?

    1. 6 3/4 high by 8 3/4 wide by 1 3/4 deep and can be used as free standing on desk or table, or hung on a wall.

  5. does this operate on batteries and 120 volts?

    1. Batteries. "C" cells in the base station and temperature sensor. "AA" cells in the rain gauge. The wind gauge is solar powered and has no batteries.

  6. Can the unit be set up to push data to a laptop?

    1. Yes, but, I just did not want to keep all the info to my laptop..just wanted to know, what was going on, at the time. But, it does come, with a link to your router, and I assume, you builld your own page, to store, the info.

  7. We often get freezing rain. How does the rain sensor handle that?

    1. That is an issue with all but the most extreme high end professional units that employ heating. I have mine mounted on my deck railing so its readily accessible for cleaning. Honestly there’s no better system at this price with these features on the market

    2. Leaving this item in the freezing rain may cause damage to the unit. It is recommended that the unit is stored for winter and the batteries are removed to prevent leaks.

  8. Can it push data to a server?

    I want to have the unit push data at intervals to my own webserver. Is that possible? If so, does the unit push an html file or a csv file that I would have to parsh?

    1. It is not possible to push the data from the weather station to your own web server. The data collected is only available at the La Crosse website or the mobile application.

  9. Can this be mounted to a metal building such as an Aircraft Hangar?

    1. This weather station can be mounted to a metal building, just keep in mind that large metal objects may reduce the range of transmission.

    I just purchased a La Crosse weather station model 59155-2854. Although it states that it is a stand alone model I was wondering if there is a mounting system for the items that go outside the home.

    1. Mounting equipment is included for mounting the wind sensor and the thermo-hydro sensor outside.
