The Kushlan 600DD Direct Drive Mixer is filled with features that make this rugged mixer affordable yet ideal for the do-it-yourselfer and professional. This wheelbarrow mixer is supported by a heavy gauge steel frame and polyurethane flat-free tires. The 3/4 HP electric motor rotates drum at 28 RPM. The 5/16in. gauge polyethylene drums are resistant to dents, cracks and rust, yet easy to clean. Retracting steel handles allow for easy breakdown for transport or storage.     Regarding the Gas Drive Cement Mixer - 6 Cubic Ft; need to know the mechanism for empting (dumping) the mix on the foundation. Will I have to use the bars to tip the whole unit or does the frame remain as pictured? I used to have a mixer with a separate level to tip the drum to dump the mix onto a wheel barrel or directly on to a foundation.

    1. Yes, It works just like a wheelbarrow. You lift up on the bars and roll it on the wheels to where you want to dump it, then pick it all the up forward onto the round part of the metal bars that extend forward of the wheels. The product will dump forward in front of the mixer. It's well balanced and feels rather easy to do.

    2. Drum rotates on part of the frame, so whole unit is tipped to dump. The stand uses the axle shaft as a pivot point, raising the tipping point about 3 feet off of the ground.

  2. WHEN IT SAYS CONCRETE, IS THAT CEMENT AND GRAVEL ( aggregate) ?

    1. Yes, most people use the 60lb bags of concrete purchased at any home improvement store.

    1. No, it would sit too high for most wheelbarrows, but you can dump your load from the unit itself.

  4. What amperage is required?

    I plan on using it with a portable generator at a remote site. Need to know what power required

    1. I'm not near it now, but I have used mine with both a Generac generator on a 15a outlet and on a 20a construction outlet without any issue. So I would assume that 15amps would be fine.

  5. Is there a lid available, for the mixing drum, on this unit?

    I'd like to be able to put a lid over the open end of the drum on this unit, so as to keep out wasps, and other critters, or rain/snow/leaves, when it is not being used. Also, it might help to keep down airborne dust while operating it.
    Is there one available? (If not, I could fabricate something, to work, for this purpose). I'd like to have that option available.

    1. I haven't found a lid although I'm sure I could make one fairly cheaply. But I've found storing it drum up leaves the motor exposed to the weather. I put a small piece of plywood down and turn the drum upside down on it. This keeps anything from entering the drum. Then put a 5 gallon bucket over the motor, which is now facing upwards. This protects the motor. Not sure about keeping the insects out of the bucket tho. But the motor and gearbox are very well protected from the elements.

    1. The mixer has a 6-cu. ft. polyethylene drum that holds up to 300 lbs. It will require approximately 5 gallons of water and 4-80 lb. bags of pre-mix concrete.
