The Kushlan 350DD Direct Drive Mixer is filled with features that make this rugged mixer affordable yet ideal for the do-it-yourselfer and professional. This wheelbarrow mixer is supported by a heavy gauge steel frame and polyurethane flat-free tires. The 3/4 HP 120V electric motor rotates at 28 RPM. The 5/16in. gauge polyethylene drums are resistant to dents, cracks and rust, yet easy to clean. Telescoping steel handles allow for easy breakdown for transport or storage. The 3.5 cu. ft. capacity drum holds 180 lbs. of premixed concrete. CE, UL, and CSA approved.

  2. Easy One Man Operation??

    Can this be operated easily with just one person, such as pouring out a large load of concrete once mixed?

    2. Yes it is a one man operation but I found shoveling the concrete into post holes was way easier and precise than dumping it. The load of concrete in the mixer is comparable to a mixing concrete in a 3 cubic foot wheelbarrow almost full to the top edge

      The Kushlan Products' "Stand for 300WSB & 600W Cement Mixers, Model# UniversalStand" (Item #23677) does work with the 350DD mixer as well.

  4. What is the difference between direct drive and belt drive mixer? Which is better?

    1. The belt (as in fan belt on a car/truck) will slip if the load is too heavy or to start spinning. Direct drive requires gear oil to be monitored. Having used both types, like the direct drive more particularly when the concrete is mixing and the belt slips or breaks.

    2. Direct drive is almost always preferred. Belt drive might give you more flexibility if you are very mechanically inclined to switch out the wheel. That being said, belt drives are less efficient due to slippage and more prone to failure with happening to the belt.

      I was a sales engineer and one of the largest HVAC mfg in the world for very high end air handlers. Direct Drive motors were a premium, so that's another indicator.

    3. Direct drive and belt drive motors offer different qualities. The belt drive uses a belt, the speed is approximate but not constant due to wear and tear of the belt. Direct drive is a motor with the required speeds and offers more accuracy. Direct drive motors are generally smaller and quieter.

  5. How do you empty the cement? Does the drum tilt?

    1. The whole unit will tilt to empty the cement out of the drum, similar to how you empty a wheel barrow.

    1. The cement mixer would not be high enough off the ground to dump into a wheelbarrow. It is designed as a wheelbarrow style.

    1. If the floor patch is cement, it would work. Any other materials are not recommended for use in this mixer.

    Most Kushlan models state in spec. that they are brushless .
    Model 350DD #42856 does Not.

  10. Kushlan Mdl # 350DD gearbox drain plug

    Hi, I'm comparing the Kushlan direct drive cement mixers Mdl #'s KPRO350DD versus 350DD besides the size motor does the 350DD with the 3/4 HP motor/gear box have a drain plug like the KPRO350DD so we can change the oil?
