  2. Drill through 2" steel?

    I need something that will accurately drill a 3/4" hole through a 2" piece of metal. Can this do it?

    2. This mini milling machine can drill through metal up to 1/2" thick. It cannot drill through a 2" thick piece of metal.

  3. Where do you get the cutters

    1. Any cutting tool supply house. You will also need an R8 collet for each size end mill you use.

    1. Most of the gears are manufactured from metal; however, the gears located in the headstock are plastic to reduce noise.

    1. The metal wheel on the right side of this mini milling machine is the fine feeding wheel. It is designed to control the vertical movement of the spindle, which allows for fine adjustments to the cutting depth.

  10. What's an acceptable amount of spindle runnout? I measure .00125" on the lowest part of the spindle and a bit less higher up. Is this normal?

    1. The radial runout of the spindle taper hole near the spindle end will be 0.0007874 inches (0.02MM). The radial runout of the spindle taper hole 50 MM from the spindle end will be 0.0015748 inches (0.04MM).
