Yes, BUT. This battery fits on the Klutch KLIQ 20V line it was designed for. It also happens to fit on the HyperTough Gen2 tool line, and it works with them (in 2026). However, it is not warrantied to work with HyperTough tools, or tested to work with them (for safety), or in any other way blessed to work with any tools, except the Klutch KLIQ 20V tool line from Northern Tool. Likewise, using the Klutch KLIQ 20V 8Ah battery on a HyperTough Gen2 tool voids the tool warranty, and the safety rating (UL, CE) on the tool is invalid with any battery other than the Hypertough line it is sold with. (Folks, companies only pay for testing with their own battery / tool combos, nothing else is tested or warrantied.) So, if you go use the mixed branding solution - you are on your own if something goes wrong. Just say'in. I find both the Klutch 20V High and Mid Torque really like this 8Ah battery, as does the HyperTough High, Mid, and Compact impacts. Not sure the HT Compact's wiring is really rated for 45Amps at 20V continuous. (That is the kind of thing I mean for safety, and why you will never get Northern Tool (or any other company) to say their battery or tool works with anything but their own line. It is not tested that way, so there is no warranty. In fact, they tell you not to use any other battery besides their own line, in the Reading of the Fine Manual. Sorry that was very preachy, but I figure its the only way someone might allow this answer to even appear.
