  2. can the top shelf angle be horizontal for a stick welder?

    the top shelf on most of these welding carts is angled - and narrow - for a MIG welder. I want a cart for my older Hobart stick welder (70 lbs and 18" wide)

    1. Top shelf angle cannot be changed without significant alteration.

    3. you would have to drill out new holes. The holes that are predrilled will create the angle. I don't see it losing any strength by re-drilling holes for a flat surface.

    4. The top shelf has to be mounted at an angle or you will have to modify most of the top of cart. The angled top shelf worked fine for me and I use this cart for a Hobart stick welder it fit perfectly on top with no problems.

    5. The top shelf is at an angle and it is not adjustable. We have welding carts with a horizontal top shelf that may work for you (see below).

  3. Does the 100 Lb capacity include the bottle weight?

    I have 2 45 pound welders and 2 60 pound bottles.

    1. I put an 80 lbs bottle and 78 lb mig and it rolls great.

    2. I have a mig and arc welder on mine with 1 "S" sized bottle (around 7" diameter), and the cart holds and moves just fine. Its not set up for 2 bottles. The safety chain will only fit around 1 . The bottle is centered on the back of the cart.

    1. No, 9" diameter bottle will not fit.

    4. This welder cart will not hold a 9" diameter bottle. It is designed to hold a bottle with a maximum diameter of 7".

  5. what are the dimensions of the top shelf and lower shelf? To know what size welder it can fit

    1. Have a 80 # Lincoln 180C, and fits good with some room on the sides

    2. the top table is 13 3/4" wide and 18 3/4 long. It can fit up to 22" but the welder will be over hanging. If you look at the pictures in the reviews you can see the type of welders that fit. I use a millermatic 211 and it fits just right.

    3. The inside dimensions of the top shelf are 18-3/4"Long x 13-3/4"Wide. The inside dimensions of the bottom shelf are 19-1/2"Long x 13-3/4"Wide. There is 15-1/5” of clearance above the bottom shelf.
