The Klein Tools Utility Borescope captures a clear view of hard-to-reach areas. It comes with a 10ft. (3m) Nylon USB-C Detachable Snake, magnet, hook, and mirror attachments. It has an 5.5mm waterproof (IP67) camera with adjustable LEDs with 4 brightness levels. It features a 4.3in. Color LCD monitor with 854 x 480 resolution, 3 times zoom, and 180-Degree screen view rotation. You can view captured video/images on the display or transfer to your PC using the USB-C interface.

  1. can it maneuver through a 3/4" PVC 90 degree elbow?

    1. The Klein ET17 (5.5 mm camera head, 10 ft nylon probe) will fit and should navigate a standard 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC 90° elbow (ID ≈ 0.804" / 20.4 mm), leaving about 14.9 mm of clearance in clean, unobstructed conditions.

  2. Can the camera rotate from the device or do u have to use ur hands the bend the cable in the view your trying to look before you snake it down wherever I'm trying to look?

    1. The flexible cable would have to be maneuvered by hand to position the camera head where one would want to look. The image on the monitor can be flipped if the cable is put in upside down.

    1. The Borescope is rated to be waterproof. The camera and cable are protected against dust and can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

  4. Can you add onto the cable and make it longer?

    1. The Klein ET17’s 10-foot cable can’t be extended but can be replaced with the same length; for longer reach, upgrade to models like the ET500 or ET510.
