King Kutter Seeder/Spreader, Model# S-500

I have used this to frost-seed prairie grass mixes with wild flowers and Forbes mixed in. Key to getting even seed flow and distribution is to mix Rolled Oats in with the grass mix 50/50. I premixed in a large wheel barrow, then used a scoop to load in the seeder. You can use this to seed during growing season by mowing, spraying, disking. After seeding, lightly disk to cover seed, then roll, preferably with a cultipacker.

The seeder/spreader would not lay a single row of seed. It would broadcast the seed out.

The seeder does come with a rotating seed agitator, lower agitator and buffer wheel internally in the funnel.

The seeder spreader will spread seed, granular fertilizer, crystalline herbicides, pesticides and sand.

The spreader has an adjustable spread width, depending on the material you are spreading. It will adjust from 1 through 8.5. the widths will be listed in the product manual for each setting.

This spreader will include a 1 year limited manufacturer's warranty.

It will work with small grass seed, but may come out a little fast. It works best with pelletized grass seeds.

Per the manufacturer, this can be used to spread salt and magnesium as long as it is pelletized. This cannot be used to spread anything in powder form.
