    1. The spindle item numbers 5712451 and 5712453 will work with this tire/wheel assembly. Both of the spindle options will have an inner and outer bearing of 1".

    2. This tire and wheel would have a tapered 1" bearing and would take a 1" axle bore/spindle. Northern Tool does not carry a spindle to fit it.

  8. what size cotter pin do i need for this assembly?

    1. The size of the cotter pin depends on the hole in your axle. It's not relative to the wheel.

    1. No, You need a 1" axle size

  10. Changing the wheel on a log splitter

    I recently purchased a 4.80x8 high speed tire and rim from your company. I tried to put it on my log splitter but the hub would not go all the way onto the axle. The rim on the wheel is the same width as the old rim yet it won't fit on the axle. Should I take the bearing out of the wheel and put it on first? I'm trying to not force it on but it needs to go about an 1/8 of an inch to allow the axle nut to fit on. What should I do?

    1. You might have it by now. But if not you might have to grind away whatever it is hitting on that is keeping it from going back all the way. I am thinking there might be part of the old bearing stuck on the shaft. Good luck

    2. The hub length on this hub assembly is 4.125". The bore is 1". As long as you have those requirements, it should replace your old assembly.
