  1. what kind of piping/installation is required for longer distances (1/2 mile)?

    I want to run a half mile of piping for the air to my pond. What kind of piping do I need to run for the air? Can it be above ground rather than under?

    1 answer

    1. For longer distances a Remote Manifold Extension system with underground piping (3/4 PVC) from the air compressor to the edge of the pond would be recommended. The part number would be RA2-PM-RM supplied by the manufacturer.

  2. What is the best way to place the unit on the bottom of the pond?

    For example my pond is about 16ft deep, what is the best way to place each unit on the bottom properly? Thank you.

    1. The base of the diffuser is designed to be filled with pea rock so it will sink to the bottom of the pond. A boat that is not easily tipped is recommenced to place the diffusers in the pond. You would then lower the diffusers to the bottom with a rope (not included).

    1. This aeration system is safe to operate in a pond while people are swimming in it. None of its electrical components are placed in the water or pond.

    Does this system come with 2 100ft sections of weighted tubing for a total of 200ft? Or is it 2 50ft sections for a total of
    100ft of weighted tubing?.

    1. This Kasco Robust-Aire 2 Diffuser Diffused Air System includes two 100ft lengths of weighted tubing for a total of 200ft. This system can push the air to a maximum water depth of 50ft.

  5. Can this unit be powered but a solar system and how many panels will it take if it can use solar?

    1. This Diffused Air System can be powered by a solar powered system. Due to all of the variables in a solar system, we are not able to recommend the amount of solar panels you will need to power the air system.
