  1. Re: model 3429: Where does the 17 in dimension come from?

    Detail pictures of model 3429 (steps) does not show a 17 inch dimension on any of the pictures..Is the 16 inch dimension corrrect (total width)? Also, is the300 lb load limit of the product 3429 limited by the 3/8" mounting bolts?...Can the bolts and holes be drilled out to support more weight?...or would the steps give out somewhere else (not likely!)? Thx, Woody

    1. The overall length of the step will be 16". The length of 17" will be the shipping dimension on the step. It would not be recommended that you make modifications to the step. Any modifications to the step will void all manufacturer's warranty. Maximum recommended weight capacity is 300 pounds.

    1. The pre-drilled holes are 0.406" in diameter. We recommend 3/8" bolts for mounting.

We do include drawings in the pictures above that include all the mounting pattern options with the measurements to further assist you in deciding if this is the right step for you. We recommend checking your measurements and comparing them to the drawings to check compatibility.
