Product Summary

Nonmetallic Laboratory Safety Cans have all the benefits of Justrite's Type I polyethylene safety cans, with the addition of a self-closing faucet for easy dispensing. All fill spouts have a pressure-relief cap with stainless steel flame arrester. Hardware featured on the can top is stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and long life. The five-gallon size also features a vacuum-relief valve in the lid allowing liquids to flow smoothly. Justrite's unique patented, current-carrying carbon insert embedded into the container provides for proper grounding. Polyethylene Safety Dispensing Can has superb corrosion protection, and a unique current-carrying carbon insert embedded into the container allows for proper grounding. With all the benefits of our classic Type I safety cans, these self-closing and leakproof cans come with faucets to make them the choice of lab professionals for safe dispensing of hazardous liquids into small flasks and beakers. Fill spouts have self-closing pressure-relief caps and stainless steel flame arresters. Self-closing brass faucets provide trouble-free dispensing. Cans fitted with the 08540 faucet offer more controlled dispensing, while faucet 08902 provides a greater flow. All styles are FM approved.

      There is also a compatibility chart in the RedBOOK that can help you to identify if the flammable liquids you would like to use would be a good fit for this particular Safety Can.

  2. We currently use these kinds of jugs in our lab. The container itself is in fine shape, but the spout on the front has a broken plastic dispenser handle. Do you sell a replacement handle, or the whole brass spout individually?
