The variable-speed rate permits you to choose the optimal feed rate for a full range of projects, while the Sandsmart™ feature continuously monitors the load on the drum motor to prevent an overload situation. The mirrored design of the dust hood optimizes dust collection preventing chips and dust from getting between your work-piece and the finish.       80 grit

    2. Jet sends it with 80 grit paper installed. I quickly learned to appreciate a finer grit. Paper seems expensive, but appears to last rather well.

    3. An 80-grit, 3-inch wide abrasive strip is pre-installed on the drum. Northern Tool does not offer the sand paper that fits this drum sander.
