J-B Weld WaterWeld Quick Setting Steel Reinforced Epoxy Putty will plug or seal leaks and patch holes and cracks in almost anything. Ideal for repairing plumbing, fuel tanks, tub and shower, drains, pool and spa, boats and potable water tanks; setup occurs even under water. After curing, it can be drilled, tapped, filed, sanded and painted. Features a set time of 15-25 minutes and sets hard in one hour. Cures to an off-white color, is rated at a tensile strength of 1300 PSI and will withstand temperatures up to 300°F. 2-oz. tube.

    1. Model 8277 will work on with leaking PVC pipe. The pipe must be dry when applied and during the first 8 hours to cure.

    1. The recommended product to repair a radiator will be the JB weld radiator weld model 2120. Northern Tool does not currently offer this product.

    1. Water weld will plug or seal leaks and patch holes and cracks. It is ideal for repairing plumbing, tub and showers, drains, pools and spas, boats and potable water tanks. Set up will occurs even under water. After curing, it can be drilled, tapped, filed, sanded or painted. It will have a rated strength of 4370 PSI and will with stand temperatures up to 250 degrees F.

  7. My rudder has a narrow crack on the front edge the boat is in the water. So, can I apply this under water?

  8. Will this work on corrosion areas on galvanized pipes

    1. The epoxy putty could be used on the corrosion area on galvanized pipes. You would need to clean as much of the corrosion off as you can and then roughen up the pipe and apply an acetone or lacquer to the pipe before applying the epoxy putty.

    1. This J-B Weld Epoxy Putty can be used to repair fuel tanks. It is resistant to gas and diesel fuels.

  10. What product is recommended to repair a crack in aluminum water pump housing on a 3100 psi power washer

    1. The putty will work on aluminum. It will only hold up to 900 PSI. It would not work on a pressure washer pump.
