Product Summary

J-B Weld SteelStik Epoxy Putty is a hand-mixable, steel-reinforced, non-rusting epoxy putty that quickly repairs or rebuilds anything made of metal. After mixing, it forms an industrial-strength polymer compound that can be molded into shapes or used to build up, patch and repair steel components. Sets in 3-5 minutes and after 60 minutes, can be drilled, tapped, machined, ground, filed and painted. Cures to a dark gray color, is rated at a tensile strength of 900 PSI and will withstand continuous temperatures up to 350°F. 2-oz. tube.

    1. The Steel Stik will not work on PVC. The 2 part reinforced epoxy model 8265S (item number 54349) is recommended.

  8. Can this produce be used on stainless steel cookware. Is it a carcinogen?

    1. This product can be used on stainless steel; however it is not recommended for use on cookware. The compound is made up of talc powder, titanium dioxide, powder, diluent and epoxy resin. Per the SDS sheet on the product, some of the product compound is found to be carcinogenic to humans. Once it is fully cured, it is non toxic and NSF certified.
