  1. can this be moved around by hand easily

    1. The trailer tongue is very light, making it want to come up in the air. It is super easy to move around, but it is difficult to keep the tongue from flying up causing the trailer to "wheelie."

    3. I frequently pull Mine by hand. Just make sure the tires are aired up.

    4. It can be moved short distances without any problem. I back cart into storage location with ATV and move a few feet by hand to position in tight space for storage. I would not want to move very far with hose reel full of hose without a lawn tractor or ATV. When full of hose cart is fairly heavy and there is no convenient hand holds for moving by hand. I would only recommend cart if you have some type of ATV or lawn mower you could use to pull cart.

  2. Axle

    does the cart have an axle connecting the tires or are the tire welded to the cart frame?

    1. it has an axle.

    2. The axle is a separate piece from the rest of the trailer and can be removed or replaced. The axle goes through one support, then the tongue, then the other support before adding the wheels.

    3. There is an axle on which the wheels are mounted. The axle is assembled into the cart frame during assembly. I liked the first cart I purchased so well I immediately purchased a second cart. Based on assembly of first cart I recommend you not tighten bolts of axle mounting assembly until axle is installed to make aligning axle easier.

    4. It is a live axel that is passed through frame section, wheels contained between frame and washer with carter pin

  3. Does the reel have brass connections? Any plastic envolved?

    1. The connections are metal but are not necessarily brass. There is no plastic except for the grip on the winding handle.

    1. Absolutely. It has a swivel and you do not need to disconnect.

    1. The bed is metal. Wheels have sealed bearings. No grease zerks.

  6. Is the hose reel frame welded to the trailer bed?

    In the picture it looks as though the hose reel framework is welded to the steel trailer surface. I also think I can see small bolts through the flat bar of the hose reel frame into the steel trailer surface. Which is it?

    1. The entire cart including the reel bolts together.

  7. What size are the tires?

    1. Manual lists tires as 16 inch pneumatic. Having towed the cart over irregular surfaces around farmstead the tires seem to be sized appropriately for the application. I put tire sealer in tires as I have many stickers and thorns that will cause leaks if I do not use a Green Slime type sealer.

    1. Individual parts can be purchased. The front frame is part #FOR44612.I1. The back frame is part #FOR44612.I2. The crank handle is part #FOR44612.J. The center roller is part #FOR44612.K.
