  1. What is the actual weight of the hoist?

    1. Quite heavy for one person to lift as one unit. It comes apart in many pieces so you can move it in and out of the jobsite easily. The center support with the winch is probably 35-40 lbs by itself which is manageable for one person. Keep the box for storage if you would like. It's a challenge to get it back inside, but transport is better if you aren't using a pick-up.

  3. Will it work to hang boards vertically on a wall

    1. This panel hoist is not designed to place boards vertically against the wall. It lacks the mechanism to securely hold and press the panel or board flat against the wall for vertical hanging.

  4. I am having a hard time figuring out how to turn the handle to make the top lift that holds the dry wall go up and down. The instruction on how to operate that component is unclear.

    1. The panel support is manually adjusted by pulling the control handle. To raise and lower the panel, crank the winch to the desired height.

    1. The lowest operating height of this drywall hoist is 56.3 inches. It can hold a sheet up to 4 feet wide x 16 feet long.

  9. How to attach pulley cord to winch assembly on item 4987800?

    1. The back cover of the winch and any existing cord should be removed first. You can loop the cable through the bottom of the winch and then through the holes in the side of the drum. There is a bracket to bolt down the end of the cable to the winch.

  10. Is there any partial disassembly for moving from job to job, ease of transportation and or one-man carry?

    1. The unit can be partially disassembled to transport. Be sure to close the support hooks before
      transporting or storing the hoist.
