    1. This fan can be placed in a metal cage as long as it fits the fan. This fan is designed for a 120V power source.

  2. Can a different fan control be used, like a " variable speed controller" as long as it is rated for the maximum load

    1. This fan can be used with an alternative speed controller as long as it can handle the five speeds in forward and reverse. We recommend installation be carried out by a licensed electrician.

  3. Instead of the 12 inch down rod that comes with the fan Can a shorter down rod be used with this fan?

    1. A shorter down rod is not available for the fan. Modifications to the fan will void the manufacturer warranty.
