the single layer under a weight bench may get eaten thru. we Have an elliptical on it, but i used the 'cut end' from the customized pieces under radiators, and made a 2nd layer(keep multiples of scraps) for under the weight bearing parts.also, a 3/8-1/2" scrap of ply under would better distribute weight

yes, there are 2 types of borders in each pkg.but as you see, once a border is in place, you are starting a NEW set-up. For runs that didn't match, u sed duct tape to seam the two edges together, holds up fine over 40' lengths. also, it cust nicely with either blade or scissors, even a hot knife. you can cut to form around lolly columns

3/8"; to me this is just right for walking on on a cement floor. if using in weight room it may have to be thicker by adding layers. don't drop weights on it for this may need to replace matting.

The mats can be glued down. Be sure to check the flooring type to determine what is best for the application.
