    1. There is no need to make a seal on the tank. You can just put it into the tank.

  4. Does this pump pressurize the barrel that I would be extracting the oil from?

    1. This oil pump will not pressurize the drum that oil is being extracted from.

  5. Are there npt pipe threads on intake side, if wanting to use flexible hydraulic hose instead of metal extension pipes?

    1. This pump only has a 1" BSP thread at the bottom. Currently, a version with NPT threads is not available.

  6. Will this seal on a standard 5 gal pale of engine oil?

    1. This pump could fit on a 5 gallon pale as long as it is equipped with a 2" bung. Keep in mind, this pump is rated up to 7.4 GPM, so the pale may empty quite quickly.

    1. The pump would have a maximum 38" suction tube. It would be able to work in a 275 gallon tote.

  8. How far will the 3:1 pump push oil? The 1:1 says 16ft.

    1. Per the manufacturer, this can pump can be used with a maximum 50' discharge hose. However, doing so would cause the flow rate to decrease.

    1. This Ironton pump is not recommended for 80W-90 gear oil.
