  1. It says the unit is wall mountable. Is the wall mount included in the package?

    1. A 6"x4" plateform is on the reel. I used a 2x6 stud cut long enough to span 2 wall studs. Mounted it to the studs and then mounted the reel to the 2x6 with some short lag bolts.

    3. Yes, the wall mount plate is part of the hose reel itself. It is welding on and very sturdy.

    4. The reel has a 4 inch flat metal plate with a 3/8 inch hole at each corner welded onto the "U" shaped tubular arm from the center of the reel to the wall mount plate.

  2. How does the brake work on this air hose reel?

    1. There is a spring-loaded pin on one side of the frame that pops into corresponding holes on the reel. There are 4(?) holes so there is plenty of adjustability for the locked position.

    2. It has an spring loaded plunger that holds it in place. Pull it out and turn it 90 degrees and let it fall back to a cradle and you can turn it. Pull it out and let it fall all the way back in, and its locked. Simple and it works.

    3. It is a solid lock in place when used. easy to lock and unlock

    4. Pull the ring on the side of the unit and turn clockwise to release the brake. Pull the ring again and turn counter clockwise to engage the brake again. Just turn the reel a little after engaging the brake, you will hear a click and the reel will lock.

    5. The hand brake works by the spring loaded lock pin that is available to prevent hose from unwanted reeling.

  3. will this hold 50 feet of half inch hose

    1. I have 100' of 3/8 hose on it with plenty of extra room. However, you might have trouble getting 1/2" hose to connect to the reel fitting.

    2. This hose reel is designed for use with 3/8" hose. It is not intended for use with 1/2" hose.

  6. Where the "arm" meets the mount, I see it says the connector is 1/4". From the pictures it looks like this might be a step down connector. Is the connection on the "arm" actually 3/8" or bigger?

  7. Can it be mounted to ceiling? Or does the brake pin have to be moved in and out manually?

    1. This hose reel is not recommended for use with pressure washer hose as the max pressure rating is 300 PSI. Please see our item #55785 or #55788 for hose reels that can be used for pressure washer applications.

    Does the 18" length dimension include the extruding handle and bar on the opposite side?

  10. Can anyone give me the exact dimensions of the mounting bracket and four holes? Trying to match removable bracket I already have.

    1. The holes are 5/16 in. and center to center hole spacing is 3 5/16 in.
