Yes! This rack fit my 2012 Ford F-150, supercrew shortbed and with 4 independent uprights length can be as great or as minimal as you prefer. Width can be adjusted from narrow for small trucks or extended to accommodate wider truck beds. Very, very versatile. In the “high” position, my 18’ “arched” canoe easily clears my truck cab.

Can the top cross bar be flipped to shorten height?
Can the top bar be flipped over to make the rack shorter and just put the end caps on the tall end. This will also make a taller side rail for thicker materials to be tied to.
-
M2theM· 8 years ago
Yes, it's reversible.

IrontonExpert29· 3 years ago
This truck rack is intended for use on the bed of a truck. It fits truck beds from 57.0865" to 68.7" wide. It may work on a landscaping trailer, however it has not been tested for this application.

This rack will work on anything that you can bolt it to just because it says its a ladder rack for your pickup doesn't mean it won't work anywhere but your truck cause they designed it for a truck as long as it will fit so you can bolt it down it will work on anything

Can this be used for temporary installation?
-
M2theM· 8 years ago
Yes, I didn't drill a single hole, purchased 8 topper clamps and clamped the "feet" down to my bed rail, 2 clamps per foot. Worked like a charm I can swing on the rails and they don't budge.

Is the load capacity static or dynamic.
1 answer-
IrontonExpert12· a year ago
The maximum weight capacity of 500 lbs. is dynamic because it is considering the movement of the truck. A separate static capacity is not available.

Since the side poles bend inward, the width at the top and bottom will differ. When mounted, how far apart are the poles at the top and how far apart at the bottom? (I know each truck is different; I'm really interested in the DIFFERENCE in the widths.)
1 answer-
IrontonExpert12· 2 years ago
When expanded to the maximum designed width, the top is 57.56" apart and the bottom is 65.35" apart. When reduced to the minimum designed width, the top is 44.17" apart and the bottom is 51.97" apart.
